Storage on Apple Watch effecting Update

I have a series 3 and I continue to have issues updating to the latest version due to storage issues. However, I've stripped down a lot of things....including my music. When I look at my storage, it says I have 844MB of music, but when I go into My Watch app and open up music, it says "no music." This is very frustrating as it seems that every time I need to do an update, this issue happens. Any advice?

Apple Watch Storage Issues For a while now, but specifically ever since updating to watchOS 8 (now 8.1), my Apple Watch has been having storage issues. I noticed none of my music was downloaded so I checked the Watch app to find that my “media storage was full”… This was new to me, I have over 8GB free so why wouldn’t I be able to use that? Besides that, I didn’t even have any media on the Watch in the first place! I got frustrated and gave up. Fast forward a couple months to today. I want music on my watch. The out of media storage banner was there and randomly disappeared a couple minutes ago, however, my storage says 7GB used, and after counting my apps, they use a grand total of 537MB combined, and Music is taking over 200MB for some reason, even though there is no music downloaded? I know watchOS takes up space, but according to the chart, it’s not the majority of what is supposedly “used”. Maybe by some miracle my music will download now—time will tell (will check in the morning)—but what’s with all this “used” storage that I’m clearly not using and why the “media storage limit” (which seems to have bugs)?

Apple watch our of storage My apple watch keeps trying to update but it says storage full. It's a series 3. I go in to my watch app on my phone and it says there's 0 songs on my watch, 0 photos, and only 1 app. How is my storage full on my watch when there's nothing on it? Or how do I free up space to update it? Or do I have to buy a new watch?

How to get more space on Apple Watch when nothing is used in the first place?? I'm extremely disappointed in Apple's I can't install the software update, it says it requires 700+MB of RAM... however I literally have as little as I can on my watch! Here's what I have in usage: Software Update: 341MB Music: 308MB* Photos & Camera: 30.2MB ... (the rest are all smaller than 30MB) I'm assuming you can't install the update if you delete that... so what other options do I have? Music is taking up 308MB, however, I literally have no music stored on this thing! No "automatically add" playlists, and "Playlists and albums" is completely blank! so I guess 308MB is for the app which I can't use (because I have no space anyway) but it's still not enough to install the update? Photos it looks like requires a minimum of 25 photos (there's no "photos limit' of zero)... literally no way to remove those, I guess. I thought the Series 3 watches would last longer than this before they were rendered un-updatable... Sincerely, Extremely Disappointed soon-to-be-former Apple Watch Owner
