Storing old emails in the Cloud using Mail

Hi,

I use Mail as my email client for two Gmail addresses and a work email. This is probably a stupid question but can I store old emails in the Cloud. I've seen people with big lists of folders and when they're done with an email, they drag it into one of them ready to refer back to in the future. How do I set that up? Does it use iCloud? Am I an idiot for not being able to figure this out myself?

Hey there, ElliotCallard!

Thanks for reaching out in Apple Support Communities! We understand you’re wanting to know if you can store your old emails in iCloud. You definitely can create a folder to store emails in there, with that being said though, if you ever remove that email account it will remove the emails that were stored in that folder. Here is an article to further assist you: This is if you’re on macOS Big Sur 11.0

Here is one if you’re on macOS Catalina 10.15
