Suspicious "Reset Apple ID password" message on my iPhone

I got a random "Reset Apple ID password" message on my iPhone that I did not prompt. Is a third party trying to break into my Apple ID?

iPhone 6s, iOS 14

If there is a link in the message to reset your password, it is probably a scam.

If you want to change your password, use Apple's links.
