Just like the title says. I used to be able to copy an image from a website or page, Facebook for example, and then directly paste into an imessage on my Mac. Since the upgrade, this went away. Why?

Agreed. It works fine from Safari but not Chrome. "Paste" is grayed out in the popup menu when coming from Chrome. I can, however, crtl-v and that works. It is clear the image made it safely to the clipboard but Big Sur is treating them differently for some reason.

Yes, this is the only way that someone could send a screenshot with messages. But, it doesn't seem practical does it?
Same problem here with Big Sur.
I guess that is not my case since my passwords are synchronized.
One has to wonder why that was not a problem previously !
This actually worked for me with the photo that I was trying to copy. Thanks for that suggestion. I dragged it right into messenger. I tried it with several different things. It seemed to work ok
I, also, know how to copy and paste. I have been doing it for years. But the new MacBook Pro will not allow copy and paste into the text function.
I can't figure out how to drag and drop. As soon as I click on the image, the text box disappears.
Any answers to this?
Copy/Paste is definitely broken on my new M1 mini Big Sur... Can't even drag anymore.
Has anyone solved this yet? I just upgraded to Big Sur and suddenly cannot copy an image and paste...
