Anyone figured out how to use HP Photosmart C4700 after Big Sure download

After the Big Sur upgrade my computer gave me message that the driver for my HP all in one printer 4700 series would damage my computer. Followed the HP guidelines for fixing this by uninstalling but when I went back to reinstall version for my printer it said there was none. Any way to get around this?

Would it have really damaged my computer?

MacBook Air 11″, macOS 10.13

The printer you are using was only officially supported by HP up to Mac OS X Mavericks (10.9).

That was a seven year old OS and the last update for it was in 2014.

Before you upgraded to Big Sur what OS were you using.

Big Sur and the last macOS Catalina do not run 32bit apps, it may well be that the drivers

for your printer were 32bit and therefore will not work in Big Sur.

Did you try resetting the printing system.
