Imported TIF images are too dark
Hi,
When importing a TIF image in FCPX, it appears too dark vs in Finder:
It works fine with jpg format though.
How can I have proper TIF brightness import ?
Thanks

Strange. The image is actually generated from Maya/Arnold, so maybe something in the export settings, let me have a look there then.
Loading it in PS and re-saving it as TIF is working.
Could you upload the file somewhere? It would help to see if it’s system specific or something in the image.
The image uses an Adobe Deflate codec to compress. Some applications can't even open it. It looks the same in Pixelmator as in FCP. I don't have an application that sees it anyway than dark. Don't know what you can do except color correct it.
Not sure if that has to do with the problem, but I noticed that the file in question has 32 bits per channel.
It says 404 file not found...
Ok, I got it now... the URL had a spurious period at the end.
I also see this behavior.
TIF file appears noticeably darker in FCP vs Quicklook or Preview.
PNG file works ok.
