Can't uncheck songs

I just upgraded to Big Sur and now I can't seem to uncheck songs in Music. If I have song list sorted by "last played" and then a either try to uncheck single songs or select a bunch and right click - uncheck, the checks are still there. However, if I then right click that same selection, it give the option to check selection, even though they still appear to be checked.
