just discovered that I have a chess app on my new MacBook. I don't want it. I cannot drag it into the Trash from the Applications folder. I cannot drag it into the Trash from Launchpad. I cannot get it to show as "x" in the upper right corner in Launchpad for deletion.

The chess app is part of the system and can't be deleted. We'll just have to learn to ignore it.
