I expected a great quality transparent menu bar and dock, but all I get is just a regular white menu bar. How can I change this?
p.s. just installed it. Also, the "reduce transparency" option is not checked

If you are running a VMWare Fusion guest, they do not support accelerated graphics. Neither does Parallels Desktop or VirtualBox. Transparency is not supported.

I have the exact same problem. I uninstalled Parallels Desktop, restarted my mac (twice) and there is no change. Is there anything else that can cause this problem? May reinstalling new Big Sur be the solution (is there a way to reinstall an os?)? Thank you very much.
