Bought a new iPhone 12 pro max on release day. When device was on iOS 14.2, there was no issue to charge 100% on apple certified Mophie wireless charging pad. After upgraded to iOS 14.2.1, charging stops at 96% every time. Battery health check 100%. Has anyone experience same issue?

Turn off Optimize Charging.
For me it was the charger. Baseus usb-c + usb-a wall charger. I got a different one, and now it charges to 100% every time.
Mophie wireless charging pad. I did hard restart and it’s fine now. You could also try it and see if issue solved.
Do a hard reset and then charge with a iPhone XS or 11 charger should be fine. That’s what I did and solve the issue.

Thank you. I thought optimise charging allow device to reach 80% then charge until 100%. Charge until 96% and no further charging is somewhat odd. Do you still think it’s related to optimise charging?
What kind of charger are you using? I have the same problem. Tried turning off the Optimised charging- doesn’t change a thing. I am using the Baseus usb-c + usb-a wall charger. Maybe it’s the charger, I don’t know
Same thing is happening to me too. It was stuck on 96% for a long time. Then it took 12-15 mins to get to 97%. I restarted my phone and my phone powered on saying it’s 100%. My guess something software..
Same happen to my brand new iphone (had it for just 5 days)....initial charging from 10% to 80~% is really quick, but take a lot longer time to get to 95% and another 30 minutes to 100%. I am using the 20watt Anker charger which recommend from Amazon for iphone 12. Wonder if it's the charger or had a problem battery.

i am facing similar however peculiar issue since the last ios update I did on my “iPhone 12PRO 256gb”.
every time my device stops charging at 80%. I tried charging putting handset on OFF mode also but facing the same issue it sticks at 80%.

battery health shows 100%.

Mine always stops at 80%, You can achieve 80% in just a half of hour and then after that it will stock there, it doesn’t get 100%.
