Double messages in sent mail

I have my Hotmail account in the MAIL app on MacBook Pro, iPhone and iPad. Since some months every new mail I send appears twice in the SENT mailbox. It started with macOS Sierra and it's still occurring with Big Sur. This is driving me crazy. Can anybody help me?

Thanks.

(PS: I'm from Italy, sorry for my bad English)

Gianpietro66,

We appreciate you following up with that information. What type of email account are you using, such as Gmail, Hotmail, iCloud, etc? If you go to a web browser, Safari for example, and log in to your webmail do you see the same issue?

Additional information about the account and what happens in web browser will be beneficial to finding out the next steps.

Take care!

Gianpietro66,

Thanks for reaching back out with those updates. We're glad to see what else we can do to help. If you go to Settings > Mail > Accounts > [Hotmail Account] > Advanced, do you see an option for Sent messages? If so go ahead and see if you have any options to change to "On the server".

If those options can be changed test sending a message from your device and see if it corrects the duplicate messages in your "Sent" folder.

Have a good day!
