Do I have to activate cellular on an SE watch?

not sure if I need the cellular on my watch or not so was thinking of getting gps & cellular so I activate cellular at a later date if I decided I needed it. Is that something that can be done?

Your carrier has to support WiFi calling, and you have to enable WiFi calling for your iPhone, and then you have to enable WiFi calling for your Apple Watch.

But your Apple Watch can also use Bluetooth to ask the iPhone to make/receive calls (this is automatic). In this mode, your Apple Watch is a lot like a Bluetooth headset for the iPhone, except it is on your wrist, has a screen, and can do a ton of other things using either WiFi, or your iPhone for network connectivity.

Yes that's ok,the only difference if you dont activate cellular is you will need to have your phone with you in order to make calls and send texts.
