No sound on iPhone video

My phone isn’t on mute or connected to Bluetooth device and sound is fully up. But

when I play a video of something I’ve recorded, the sound button is greyed out and there is no sound. Even on new videos I take or try to play old videos. Even if I take a video and send it to someone they can’t hear sound.
