I need my stuff too. I have a ton of banking transactions I need to access as well as passwords. I did not know this was possible or I would never have used the APP. Has worked perfectly for 4 years. Why did it die now? Has anyone resolved the issue successfully?

So you wait before you update and ask the developer if they are going to update their app any time soon. If you don’t here back, or your email bounces, and the app hasn’t been updated in two years, you move all the documents you can out of the app and then update.

You chose this app (I don’t see the point of the app) and it is your job to keep up with it and the developer.

It’s not my responsibility to make sure apps work when Apple releases a update, it’s their responsibility to make sure apps work. If I have a app I use and the developer is no longer updating the app, it’s apple’s responsibility to make sure my apps work after a update. They do approve apps before posting them in the App Store. So asking for a simple app compatibility check before a update is not asking much.

No, you have it backwards. If it was Apple’s responsibility to ensure every 3rd party app works with every update there would never be an update. It would take a massive number of people to do this. And it would be a monopolistic practice.

When you purchased that unnecessary app from a third party Apple told you that they bore no responsibility for the workings of the app. And you entered into whatever agreement the 3rd party app had.

Apple also has an agreement with the developer to provide them with development tools and beta builds in a timely manner.

The rest is between you and the 3rd party developer.

Ok. I guess I didn’t make myself clear. When I say third part software, I meant windows software to extract the data. I don’t agree with you that’s it’s between me and the developer. It’s provided by apples store, they are responsible for them. I will not be posting on this thread again.

Hey friends we all have similar problems with the Calculator+, has anyone been able to recover documents and photos, just need to know if something really works, my belief is that Apple shares some responsibility and can intervene in our behalf or can help us find a solution, we enjoy Apple we enjoy Apple and trust they will have our back…… Apple has the power and technology to do so, thank for listening

Has anyone in the greater Boston area found an IT service company that was able to do this for you? I'm looking to drop my phone off somewhere and have them attempt to retrieve the date on the phone (calculator+) I gave it to one place but they weren't able to figure it out using the tools that others have posted on this chain. Thank you for your help

The app is no longer supported by the AppStore so even the older iOS method won’t work. I tried. I am fortunate enough to have three iPhones, an iMac and a new MacBook air. I rarely use the iMac so I use that to be wiped and then install a version El Capitan iOS. That allows you to have a version of iTunes unlike this newer stuff that has iTunes embedded inside Apple Music which is so stupid and frustrating, but that requires another forum to complain. Anyway, plugging in the iPhone worked to recover all the files thru iexplore. I just have to look thru and find the files. Not easy and time consuming.

I found this on a calculator+ Solutions website, “piunikaweb.com” their solution didn’t work for me, but they left this message at the end. “Still no fix? Well then you’ll be relieved to know that devs behind the iPhone Calculator+ vault app have stated that they’re investigating the issue trying to find a permanent solution.” Not sure to believe this, but it’s something positive, will have to wait and see?

I found a solution but it is cumbersome. First you need imazing and to pay for the app. Do a local backup of the phone on iTunes or finder, next open imazing and you will see the backup under old backups. Click it and make an editable backup. Now navigate to files system, apps, calculator+, then copy your library folder to the computer. All your pics will be there.
