Homekit Camera Recording Intermittently

Recently. I purchased a Logitech Circle View Camera that is Homekit-compatible. Going through the set up process, I upgraded my iCloud storage plan to 2TB, designated my Apple TV 4K at the hub, and the rest was pretty straight forward.

Lately, I've found there to be a lot of intermittency as to when the camera records, primarily large blocks of time that there are no recordings for. This has been happening quite often overnight, which has led me to believe that the camera stops recording when the Apple TV is sleeping.

Has anyone else experienced a similar situation? Is it a limitation of the Apple TV? I'm going to test my theory by putting the Apple TV to sleep and seeing if the camera does or does not record.

Hi scsh4,

It sounds like you had some questions about your camera and we can help.

As you mentioned, your Apple TV is your home hub:

Set up your HomePod, HomePod mini, Apple TV, or iPad as a home hub - Apple Support

Your home hub is for connecting, controlling, communicating, and configuring your HomeKit accessories.

If your camera is connected and set to record via Wi-Fi, that your Apple TV is sleeping or not shouldn't make a difference.

For further help, you can ask Logitech for support:
