Iphone 12 Pro Max Ultra Wide angle lens issues

Was the issue resolved for anyone? I am talking with apple support and they did diagnostics and say everything is fine. I updated and restarted nothing works. The images from ultra wide camera is so grainy and it just gives low quality video while the zoom is 0.5x , when I change the zoom during the video it gets back to normal at 1X. I know the camera change makes it and it looks very obvious. How can there be such a huge flaw and apple has not fixed it ?

I absolutely agree with you. I bought this phone specifically for my real estate needs. The noise in a room full of natural lighting is ridiculous. In no way is anything taken on this wide angle lens usable. I am truly disappointed.

The jump to the left is simply because you went from one lens to another and thus one perspective to another. Its the same as when you look at an object and close one eye. If you switch to the other eye your perspective changes.

What are you trying to get smart with me for? I just told you the conditions were not dark for the test. I'm sitting here in a well-lit office.

Strange because the tele is 2.2 aperture ans it's not as noisy as the wide angle (2.4)

Its obviously not normal because im not the only person having this issue and it will be fixed.

Yes but why are they so different in term of noise for such a slight difference?

No because the télé is 2.2 and has no flaw in low light condition.

has anyones wide angle just stopped working all together? cause thats where mines at. cant even access it atm.

right. It is not noise. It s compression artifacts. But why in low light levels? Compression artifacts should happen every time.

I am sending my phone to apple for repair, I will update what the problem was once I get it back.

I disagree; I get all sorts of usable photos with the wide angle lens, but it does require more light than the normal or telephoto do because it's optically slower.
