I have an older ipod shuffle. I tried to restore it so my grandkids could play music on it. It seems to only have worked halfway in that when I go to the summary page it shows nothing on it but it won't let me add music because it says all of my music is already on the ipod shuffle... I think a true hard reset would fix this?
