When any application like snapchat instagram or any use camera it will show in the top middle in my phone. Now it shows that there’s an unknown application using my camera and I’m actually worried about this. How can I check that?

It sounds like you’re familiar with this new feature, and you’ve seen it when you were using the camera apps like Snapchat and Instagram, but you’re not sure of the source for this instance. We can certainly understand why you’re concerned.Â
Let’s start by checking the apps that you have allowed access to your camera. Follow the guidance in the iPhone User Guide article we have inked below to check Settings > Privacy > Camera. Any non-Apple apps that have requested access to your camera will be listed here. Do you recognize one that was open immediately before you first saw that notification in Control Center?Â

The message only appears in Control Center for a few minutes after the app has accessed your camera or microphone.Â
If you see Safari, or a website, listed you may want to consider changing your camera settings in Safari. Make sure you have “Ask” or “Deny” set at Settings > Safari > Camera to ensure websites aren’t allowed to automatically access your camera.
With iOS 14, you can also easily see when your camera or microphone are being used in the moment by the presence of an orange and/or green dot at the top of your screen. This is a great tool to keep in mind if you’re concerned about one of those two features being activated without your knowledge:
