The image looks like video

This happened when I first bought the Samsung Smart TV. It needed an adjustment on the image. It looked flat like video.

Fixed it by adjusting the 'mode'. Just bought Apple TV and hooked it up and it looks like video. I hesitate to adjust it to Apple TV and screw it up on regular TV. I'm hoping there's a fix by going on Apple TV on the laptop?
