can't attach files with Safari

I am running Safari Ver. 14.0.3 (14610.4.3.1.6) and do not find that to be the case at that time on (2) iMacs running Mojave.

Attaching a file into Gmail is greyed out and photos do not attach nor are they available. The come up as image files with a question mark as of todays date 2/2/2021.

Unfortunately new Safari update Version 14.0.2 (14610.3.7.1.10) also presents the file attach problem on macOS 10.14.6

Unfortunately your only option at this time is to Drag and Drop or move to Chrome or Firefox until this issue/bug is resolved by Apple.

I have reported the Bug twice and based on what I have read here and other outlets I am one of 2000s (?).

I have “not” received a response to either of my reports.

Extremely frustrating and I was not aware it was affecting photo attachment as well until today.

You cannot attach photos either inline or attachment unless you drag and drop.

Apple doesn’t routinely monitor the discussions. These are mostly user to user discussions.

If you want to, you can send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem or a suggestion for change. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem/suggested change solved sooner. Pick the closest topic you can find.

I'm not so certain. Yahoo probably has yet to do their part in compatibility. So, what to do... Leave Apple feedback on this.

I tried it in Gmail, too, still in Safari, no go. But it does work in Firefox.

Attach files on Safari Version 14.0.1 (15610.2.11.51.10, 15610) on macOS 10.15.7 works fine. Safari Version 14.0.1 (14610.2.11.51.10) does not work on macOS 10.14.6

November 28, 2020, Also cannot attache files to Yahoo email in Safari (Version 14.0.1 (14610.2.11.51.10)). I click on the paper clip icon, select from menu "attach files from computer" and nothing happens. Tried restarting computer, problem persists.

I did what it is advised from others : delete history, uncheck the box (safari>preferences>privacy) but I still have the same problem. Cannot attach files anywhere.I have to go to chrome ,otherwise it s impossible. When I click on option key, nothing appears.What have I do? I have Macintosh Mojave 10.14.6

I have the same problem as many others.I cannot attach files not only on gmail but everywhere, with safari.I don t have this problem with chrome. My Mac book air is totally new, I bought it last year.Please, fix this problem, it s very frustrating!

Seems to me Apple should be aggressively focused on resolving this issue that is obviously affecting a mass group of users.

Users should not be expected to downgrade, reinstall to fix an Apple bug

There are many users that are unfamiliar with a reinstall or having to dive into a fix that’s a bandaid only, not guaranteed to work causing other issues and leaves them open to possible security issues.
