Why is my phone not alerting me of new text messages from one person?? I get alerts from everyone except this one person? Why is that? I haven’t hidden my alerts from that person nor is do not disturb on. So what’s the issue?

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you’re receiving notifications for all of your contacts in Messages but one. We’ll be happy to help.
Since only one Contact is affected, let’s remove that Contact from the iPhone by going to the Contacts app > Find the affected Contact and tap their name > Edit > Scroll down > Delete Contact. Then set the Contact up again and test. If not, let us know if you get an alert if they call. Do they get alerted when you reach out to them?
