Hi folks,

There is a orange dot appearing at the top right corner of my phone just above the signal strength each time I make or answer a call. I researched and found out that it means there is an app accessing my microphone. I have disabled all the app access and it still is present. I am having a doubt that my phone is tampered with. Any ideas people on how to confirm this ?

Orange dot right upper corner of my iPhone SE3 I noticed just today that when I make a call from my iphone se3 an orange dot appears in tight upper corner. Does this mean someone could be listening or recording my calls. I change from android to this iPhone just couple weeks ago because my android was hacked. How do I see what app is triggering this? Only new app I added was zoom last night for mtging with my granddaughter. This meeting was with the person I believe hacked my previous phone. Is this possible? [Re-Titled by Moderator]

After updating to 15.1 I notice an orange dot when having a conversation. Is the microphone recording my private conversations? I have read the orange dot indicates that the microphone is recording. I can’t find an app that is activating the orange dot. Is my iPhone compromised with spyware?

As you state, You are using the phone to make or receive a call. As it is impossible to make or receive a call without using the microphone, yes the orange light will indicate you are using the microphone.
