How to change the default voice line when calling from an app Dual Sim (eSIM)

Which voice line to use for outgoing voice calls is controlled in two places:

settings-mobile data - default voice line and
Contacts - individual contact - default line

However, when I use an app, such as Google maps, to make a voice call, I don't seem to have any control over which voice line to use. I've set my default voice line in settings (1) to the eSIM, but

Google Maps dials out using the physical sim
A company directory app dials out using the default voice line (as expected). But after the first call to a specific number it always dials out from the sim card that was used for the first call - even if I switch the default line setting in the meantime.

I have an iPhone XR currently on iOS 14.2. It is "supervised and managed" by the company I work for.

I can confirm the behavior of Google Maps and the selection of a given line when using a DUAL SIM iPhone. Google will have to fix that and refine their app. You can visit Google support website and make a case there if you like.

Same thought process goes for your company directory app. That app developer will need to make those adjustments that you speak about.

You have good points and I am aligned with you on those however I think that the app developers are where we need to knock.
