I am wondering is there is a way to turn on some automation feature of my Imac. whereby it would learn the movements I make on my mouse and is able to replay them.

By way of context, I am not good at coding or scripting. But there are a number of applications I open with certain settings that I make over and over. I wonder if there is way for my Imac to code what I am doing in the background, and then enable me to save that coding or script to an executable file, where I can click on it and launch it.

How can I set up my Mac to automatically open a program when a specific USB peripheral is connected? Hi, I have recently been using an Elgato Stream Deck as an accessory for my mac laptop to run various quick actions. The only requirement for this device to work once connected is for the stream deck application to run in the background. It is easy to open and run the driver for the Stream Deck but I think it would be cool to have the driver application automatically start when I connect the stream deck. So, my question is: Is it possible to set up an automation on my Mac to open a selected program when a specific USB peripheral is connected? So far I have looked in Automator for a solution but have had no conclusion. I know that Automator can be used to launch applications but I'm not sure how to trigger that workflow automatically when a USB peripheral is connected. If someone has a suggestion for how to achieve this please let me know. Thanks!

How do I create a keyboard shortcut to an Automator application? (Ventura 13.1 on M1 iMac) I created an Automator application that "quits" all open apps. It works fine if I double click it. Now I'm trying to assign a keyboard shortcut to run it but any combination I choose won't work. Is this another bug in Ventura 13.1 ? I go to System Settings | Keyboard | Keyboard Shortcuts, and then added a "App Shortcut" using Command Q, or Command K (And several other combinations). I just get a bell sound when I choose the key combo but it doesn't invoke the application.
