Allowing access to camera roll on FB app

hi,

I recently (yesterday) upgraded to iphone 12 pro max. All apps seem to be working fine, with the exception of the Facebook app.

I have the latest version of the app on the phone and there are no updates on the app or the phone ot be done.

I have uninstalled the app and restarted the phone.

When I try to load a photo onto the app, I get this screen. But nothing here works. I can press all over the screen and the only two parts that interact is the camera and the "X" at the top. Nothing else.

Other apps have access to the camera roll I can see it in the settings. Facebook app doesnt appear in the settings > photos.

Any thoughts on this?

i found a way around it. Go into the app and try to save a photo from your newsfeed. When you do this you will be asked for permission to the photo gallery. Say yes and bam, done. Not a fix, but a work around.
