Why do messages from people in my contacts say “the sender is not in your contacts” but they show up as saved in my contacts?

Okay so this started happening just recently but whenever i get a message from a few friends, their messages will say “the sender is not in your contacts” with the “report junk” at the bottom. i thought it was just a little bug so i turned off my phone but the same issue happens when i turned it back on. I then turned off iMessages in case that was the problem but it wasn’t. So I thought it was probably something with the contact itself so i deleted their numbers and added them again but it was no fix. So i decided to reset my phone and it STILL says it. is there any reason on why this happens or why it says it in the first place? please and thank you! I added two photos at the bottom so y’all can see what i’m talking about (also HAPPY HOLIDAYS!).

Strange!

Back up your phone first.

If your contacts are in iCloud or another email provider, go to Settings, Contacts, Accounts.

Make sure only that one account has contacts flagged on.

Unflag that account and do not save to iphone.

Make sure Contacts app is now empty.

Go back to Settings and flag the account back on.

Check contacts app is now repopulated.

See if it makes any difference.
