Hallmark Card Studio

My wife has been using this for several years. You can imagine her disappointment when Catalina was launched and Card Studio would not run. Now we have Big Sur and still no solution from Hallmark unless you live the USA or Canada. Have contacted them several times to purchase the compatible version but never had good reply. I asked when it would be available to the European market and the answer was no encouraging.

Has anyone any positive news ?

Sorry, don't any news (positive or negative) about this app, but one option would be to run a Virtual Machine (VM) manager, like Parallels or VMware, on her Mac. Then create a VM of an earlier version of macOS that supports the Hallmark Card Studio app. She can then run this VM anytime she needs to access this program.

All I can report is that I received a free update of Hallmark Card Studio that now works perfectly well with Catalina (64 bit). It was the 2019 version. I subsequently upgrade to the 2020 version and all is still well. So the solution is definitely out there. Why Hallmark is restricting upgrades to USA and Canada doesn't make much sense. Are you sure about this?

Thank you. Are you in the UK ?

I agree with you, it does not make any business sense. I am perfectly willing to pay to receive the latest version. I have tried many times to update but the only purchasing website that I can find restricts purchase to the USA or Canada. I have contacted Hallmark Card Studio Support several times over the past year and never received any offer of an upgrade or any type of solution. I was told a few months ago that there were no plans to offer the latest upgrade to Europe. Spoke by chat only yesterday, asked the same question and after a long wait whilst the agent searched for an answer, came back with ‘ contact Customer Service’ which I understood to be what I was actually doing at the time.
