iPhone 12 pro max losing internet connection

Currently with my 12 pro max if I have the leather MagSafe case on sometimes the WiFi internet losing internet connection, but when I take off the case internet comes back. This is intermittent and was wondering has anyone noticed this ? Or could it be a problem with just my phone

I first tried resetting network settings which helped a little bit, but what actually fixed it was that I backed up my phone then I did a “Erase All Contents and Settings”. Basically that did a wipe and clear of the phone then I installed the backup. Knock on wood but I haven’t had any issues with WiFi or cellular data. The WiFi at my house rocks and getting the speeds as expected, also cellular data seems much better. I know that is pretty drastic but in reality it’s not that bad to do. Nothing different than getting a new phone and transferring your data over.

Same issues. Internet over WiFi and 5G tend to lag pretty frequently. I have to go and close all my apps, and restart my phone. Internet will speed up just a little bit, until it happens again. My iPhone max was a lot faster. Also, almost every app when I receive a notification, I’ll open it and go back home and the notification is still there. I have to close out of the app and reopen it for the notification to go away. I’ve worked in cell phones for a few years and these are not simple issues a regular customer can fix.

I recently got the 12 Pro Max from the Apple store ready to use. I thought my problem was with the sim card or T-mobile’s tower. I took the sim card out & put it back, reset network, turned to airplane mode...nothing. Didn’t even work with wifi. T-mobile was sending a new sim card. The TotalAV app was the last one I got. Deleted it and it worked immediately. I got the idea from a post here. Hope you find a solution.

We finally logged into her account here on the Apple website and opened a chat with a support rep. After speaking with the rep, they discovered my wife had a VPN (SurfShark) installed on her phone, and recommended deleting the app. Her phone appears to be working again. This was about a half hour ago, so we will see if this continues to work. If not, I'll definitely post an update as this has been an ongoing and very frustrating issue.

I have this problem too! And it has gotten really bad for me! My wifi works great on all other devices (including an iPhone X) but has 0 connection on my phone for like 5 mins at a time! The same thing happens with 5G! It randomly stops loading things periodically, so I have to CONSTANTLY switch between using wifi and cellular data... and even then I don’t always get internet. It’s really annoying, especially since I need to use zoom on my phone for school sometimes. Hopefully there will be a fix for this soon. (I don’t have a mag case on btw.)
