iPhone 12 pro max losing internet connection

Currently with my 12 pro max if I have the leather MagSafe case on sometimes the WiFi internet losing internet connection, but when I take off the case internet comes back. This is intermittent and was wondering has anyone noticed this ? Or could it be a problem with just my phone

I first tried resetting network settings which helped a little bit, but what actually fixed it was that I backed up my phone then I did a “Erase All Contents and Settings”. Basically that did a wipe and clear of the phone then I installed the backup. Knock on wood but I haven’t had any issues with WiFi or cellular data. The WiFi at my house rocks and getting the speeds as expected, also cellular data seems much better. I know that is pretty drastic but in reality it’s not that bad to do. Nothing different than getting a new phone and transferring your data over.

I’m still having the newest phone ever the iPhone 12 Pro Max and did you get sucky service you have to turn the phone back on and off just to use it it’s definitely not better than the iPhone 6s Plus I’ve had better luck with the old phones in these brand new high quality very expensive phones and it’s getting very aggravated because no one is helping with the CELLULAR DATA CONNECTION

I have the iPhone 12 and it’s been about 2 weeks of owning it. It was working perfect for about a week. Then all of a sudden nothing. I can basically only use my phone while on wifi. If Im off home WiFi I must turn airplane mode on and off to get internet access for about 30 seconds….fantastic for a brand new phone. Returned the phone for another 12 thinking it was defective. To find out this phone is just trash.

I have the same problem as well. Got my iPhone 12 Pro Max in Dec 2020 and having been facing this internet connectivity issue ever since. Both on WiFi and cellular data. At first I thought it was T-Mobile and thought of switching carriers but my wife and son’s phone (Galaxy 10+ and iPhone SE) are fine.


Tried everything and pretty sure this is the iPhone 12 Pro Max issue and not the WiFi or the cellular networks. Been observing and evaluating this since December 2020.


@apple - please fix this. This is disappointing after spending more than a $1000++ for a top of the line flagship phone. And oh btw, another tidbit. When I ordered mine from the Apple website it shipped directly from China and not the US. Faulty batch @apple??
