Photos not exporting metadata
Many of my photographs are scanned images. I import them to Photos and add a description and keywords then export them to add to my online gallery. This process worked fine until, I presume, the recent update to Big Sur.
Now I cannot get them to export with metadata by using the export process, despite ticking the box to include this data. I have just tried dragging to the Finder and that, bizarrely, works. I fail to see why using the normal route of the export command (which in any case gives you more options than dragging) should not work.
Combined with the recent failure of Photos to correctly plot Geodata (raised as a separate issue) it is rapidly becoming a very poor product. Whilst I've clearly found a workaround, I don't understand why I've suddenly had to. Unannounced changes to workflow are very disruptive - the time I've spent investigating this problem I would rather have put to better use.
