Apple Home

Hello everyone!

I have bought a new Apple Watch and I am really enjoying it. My problem is that the Home app does not synchronise with all my devices. The app does not even appear the the Watch app on my iPhone.

So, I have been trying to turn the lights on using Siri on my Watch. This leads to incorrect lights being turned on with old or incorrect settings. But when I use Siri on my iPhone, everything is fine. My iPhone is also the devise I use to set the lights etc.

I have also checked the Home settings on my iMac, and there were old settings in there too. Is this a general problem with Home not synchronising with other devices? I would really appreciate some help.

Thanks a lot!

Hello Guilland,

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. We understand that you're having issues with the Home app on your Apple Watch and companion iPhone. The best option would be to try unpairing and re-pairing your Apple Watch and iPhone, after ensuring both devices are running the latest iOS and watchOS.

Unpair and erase your Apple Watch

Set up and pair your Apple Watch with iPhone

Once that's completed, follow the direction outlined in Control your home with Apple Watch to use this feature on your Apple Watch.

Let us know how it goes.

Best wishes.

Hello Joseph,

Thank you for your reply and for your support. Unpairing and re-pairing is the correct solution, if there are no mismatches in the settings. As I am using the Hue system, any small change in the settings (rooms or zones, or even names) lead to hair-tearing discrepency between the Home App an and the Hue app.

Thanks for your help again!

Guilland
