Keep HomePod on a specific Wifi network, and NOT follow iPhone

Long story short, I have several wifi networks at home. All of my "smart" devices including my HomePod are on their own Wifi Network and VLAN. I have the necessary firewall rules in place so anything that needs to talk, can. After I configure my Homepod for this "IOT" network, I notice after a few days none of my wifi devices are talking, and find it has changed networks on me. It is on the same wifi network as my phone. I have searched and search and can't find a way to do something so so simple. I am using Unifi, and have even tried to black list the Homepod on my other networks, but then it disconnects entirely rather than fall back on to a network it has good credentials too. Signal strength at these devices is strong as well. Any ideas I might be missing????

HomePod picks up the credentials that your phone has via iCloud Keychain. Most people will only have one network at home. Apple likely haven't considered your use case. Is there a way you can reconfigure things so that you're not trying to get your iPhone to use a different network from that used by your HomePods?

A nuisance I know, but do you have an old iPhone somewhere that you could connect to the relevant network and use it to set up the Homepod (after resetting it). It would not need a SIM card, just power once in a while. However, as turingtest2 indicates, the Homepod might still revert to a wifi network in your iCloud settings.
