3D Touch cursor control missing on SE?

I replaced my iPhone 7 recently with an SE, and I pretty much can’t tell the difference. Except that the 3D Touch cursor control no longer is working. Is this a bug, a difficult to enable feature, or a purposely left-out feature on the SE? Probably would not have gotten this phone if I knew it didn’t support this — it’s a night and day difference for texting and emailing. Or for writing this post, for that matter. Anyone know what the deal is with this lack of capability on the SE?

So I figured this out, the new method forgoes the 3D Touch and relies on Haptic Touch. Press keyboard space button for a second and the keyboard turns into trackpad mode.
