Would I be able to connect an Apple Watch SE with GPS and cellular with my Metro PCS plan?

Apple Watch Cellular vs. GPS I am currently looking to purchase the series 7 apple watch. This is going to be my first ever apple watch. I am just stuck on which one to get, I want the GPS one as I don't have the money to pay extra monthly for cellular. BUT I was wondering.. I always have my phone with me so would I still be able to make calls or send messages through the watch when my phone is with me? Watch Ultra shows No Sim \ No connection \ Not in use After the update to watchOS 9.0.1 my Ultra watch shows the following info under Mobile Service: Plan - No Sim Status - No Connection And in the Watch App it shows my Vodafone plan under the label NOT IN USE. I mention that the watch worked just fine before the update, I tried the following but nothing works: Restart watch Restart Phone Removed provider plan Add new plan (the provider confirmed the second plan is active) Restart both devices a couple of times. If anyone has any ideas or knows how to fix this issue please help! Thanks!

when you attempt to purchase an apple watch in your countries online apple store it will list the supported carriers
