I have an old email that no longer exists, and I cannot delete the account from my iPad

I have an old email that no longer exists, and I cannot delete the account from my iPad. I cannot remember the old email password for my old iCloud account, so I cannot turn off the "Find My" activation lock and load my new Apple ID using my new email address.
