Night mode time lapse not functioning
In low light conditions night mode doesn’t show up on the time lapse setting. I am using an iPhone 12 pro max with ios 14.2.1. All that appears is the exposure setting. It works fine under photo mode.

So, with help from a person who uploaded timelapse video on Youtube, I was able to figure out how this night mode works and it is super counterintuitive. Starting with the night mode icon... it is not present in time lapse mode. Phone automatically switches to night mode but it is only a fraction of real night mode. You cannot modify the exposure time and in my case it is always below 1 seconds. I see that screen starts "lagging" and it refreshes twice a second so i guess the exposure is set to around 500ms, so results are not much better from standard photos with night mode disabled.
At this point I cannot always force my phone to enter night mode in time lapse. I tried several times in same conditions and only sometimes I was able to detect the change.
I'm wondering why they couldn't just make timelapse night mode the same as in standard photos. It would be really nice to manually set the exposure time and for example have single photo every 5 or 10 seconds.
