How do I get airdrop to stop sending to my old iPhone6 and start sending to my new iPhone SE instead?

Hi - Normally with air drop, you have to select the device you are sending to.


The device you are sending from, and the one you are sending to have to be on the same wifi network. You have to turn on airdrop in your phone settings (Settings>general>airdrop).

Yes this has always been the case, until now. I airdropped some videos to another phone on the network and when they tried to send me theirs it kept “waiting” to send. I wasn't receiving any notification on my new iPhone SE So I decoded to turn on my old iPhone6. When I did, the notification was waiting there along with the videos. That phone was not in range, does not have a sim card, nor on the network until I turned it on to check.
