I made a BIG mistake... I trashed the mail app (and emptied the trash). Every time I opened the mail an error message came on "mail unexpectedly quit". I thought I could delete the app and then reinstall. I can't find it to reinstall, like it's not in the app store!

Restore it from a backup, or reinstall the entire OS.

1. You'll only have a backup of it if you set up Time Machine or ran a cloning utility; system components can't be backed up manually.
2. It'll leave your data as is unless a problem occurs.

Thanks. I’m not too “techy” I can usually figure things out. I’ll google how to (locate?) the backup. If I reinstall the entire os, I’ll lose anything that’s not on an external drive right?
