Red, Blue, Purple “swimming” lines on new M1 MBP - cannot end it

Anyone recognize this screen? It is a screenshot of swimming or wavy lines that move around the screen, similar to a screen saver. But the screen literally pops into this in the middle of working on something and cannot do anything to make it stop. Literally need to re-boot most times.

New MBP Pro (M1), 16GB RAM

Any help is appreciated.

Hello Cosmo99,

Thanks for reaching out in Apple Support Communities. We understand that you're having trouble with your Mac's screen saver, it pops up when you're working on your Mac. We're happy to help. Did you set up a shortcut or hot corners? "If you use a screen saver, it starts automatically after your Mac is inactive for a time. You can set a shortcut so the screen saver starts when you move the pointer to a corner of the screen."

Check out the following support article to check your Mac settings:

Cheers!
