Brother MFC-L2700DW
Brother ADS-1700W
resetting IMAC printing system did not help😳...
Your Brother MFC-L2700DW is supported by Apple's AirPrint, which Brother recommends. It is built into macOS Big Sur. Brother has an ADS-1700W driver page for Big Sur, as there is no AirPrint support for this device. Be certain to use the ICA (Apple Image Capture) v3.3.0 scanner driver for this device from October 2020, which also conveniently supports the MFC-L2700DW scanner function (if AirPrint does not).
For the MFC-L2700DW, you would visit System Preferences : Printers & Scanners, and right-click on the MFC printer icon, then select Reset print system… . This will take you through the process of re-adding the device, where you would choose AirPrint instead of any current Brother driver. Once the device is re-added, right-click on it and make it the default device. Print something.
Repeat the above process for the ADS-1700W, but choose the brother ICA scanner driver.
