Emails from iCloud

I have received two emails from ICloud saying they received notice from me that I want to change my email address. I do not want to change my email and unless I mistakenly did something I never requested this. When I sent reply saying I never requested this and to ask what made them think I had, I got an email back in what I believe to be German.

can you see what this is all about and have I been compromised?

iPhone X, iOS 14

You will never get an email from apple to change the mail address , these mails are suspicious https://support.apple.com/en-in/HT204759

https://support.apple.com/en-in/HT204145

Don't reply them , and click on any live links if they had sent to you https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201675

However use google language convertor ( google translate ) , you can only copy and paste the sentences and not any link send by them written in German language and convert into English and see what is written .

Note : whenever an iCloud account holder change information like Apple ID and its password , definitely a mail arrives in IMAP / web account that information is updated from apple server , but not as instructions to change your mail address .

Your mail address is revealed to them , they can't reset the password of it but in future can send phishy mails and you might get trapped by clicking on any links , if you are alert and know their mail address that had arrived in your account .

Your profile shows using an iPhone https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208661delete that mail , however rules are created from only iCloud.com https://support.apple.com/en-in/guide/icloud/mm6b1a3f8a/icloud
