Deleting an App

For me, my phone only says I can remove the app from the home screen. It does not have an option to delete it. What can I do?

iPhone 7, iOS 14

you can tap and hold an app> choose edit Home Screen> press the minus button> then hit delete app. Or you can go to the App Library (one right swipe farther than Home Screen)> tap and hold the app> then choose delete app.
