I have a new MacBook Pro with USB-C slots. I want to purchase an adaptor so that I can connect my older model display to my new computer. Which adaptor do I buy? My display is Model a1316.

That display features a Mini DsiplayPort connector for screen data.

You need a USB-C to Mini DiplayPort ADAPTER (not cable) because the display has a captive cable.
