I have gotten upwards of 20 phone calls today telling me that I need to contact Apple support because my iCloud account has been breached. I’m trying to find out if this is a factual call from Apple or if it is a scam?

They are indeed scams -- Recognize and avoid phishing messages, phony support calls, and other scams - Apple Support.
