Apple Intelligence is now available on iPhone, iPad, and Mac!
I am running IOS 14.2 and WatchOS 7.1 I have rebooted both devices, done hard resets on both devices and even unpaired and repaired my watch with my phone many times , nothing fixes this. I cannot install apps from the iPhone Apple Watch app. The install circle appears for a second and then stops and reverts to the INSTALL. I also cannot add apps to my Watch through the App Store on the watch itself. Any suggestions?

Hi, I am having the same issue. The only solutions I have found is to sign out of my Apple ID on all devices, reset the watch then sign back in and set it up again. Even doing this, the problem reappears after a few days.
Some apps are still present on the watch but show as not being installed. If I try to install, they will spin for a second then drop back to showing the install button.
My feeling is that the watch doesn’t retain its authentication for the App Store for some reason and as apps update, they then drop off the list.

Yes me too, though I have not had any of my watch apps update yet, but looks like it is resolved
Good news, I just had an app update which installed as expected.
this is strange... now its working ok... but i did nothing
Maybe it was an App Store or iCloud related issue which has been patched with the new WatchOS
