Phone is not disabling

My Iphone Xr has been disabled. It is telling me to connect to Itunes so I have been trying to connect to my mac for some time but the sync option is not available. I did many things like restart my mac, restart my phone, authorize the account again, and try a different wire. It still will not let me sync my phone onto itunes so I can't disable my phone.

If your device is disabled, you will need to erase your device


Follow the steps in this article:

If you forgot the passcode on your iPhone, or your iPhone is disabled - Apple Support


If you have a backup you can restore it from that

Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup - Apple Support
