ive been searching around trying to find and answer.
when I am watching something involving media, YouTube, Instagram, etc and lower the volume for the video, it changes the volume of my ringer and alerts. I am using an iPhone 12 pro. Even with the Change With Buttons option is toggled on or off under Sounds and Haptics, nothing changes.

To get started, let's rule out simple solutions. Have you tried restarting the device normally?
Next, let's make sure the device is up-to-date on software. When you navigate to: Settings > General > Software Update do you see any available updates?
