Safari 14 extremely laggy scrolling on sites like disneyplus.com, YouTube.com etc

Safari version 14.0.1 (16610.2.11.51.8)

MBP 15" 2018 base model

When I start scrolling on disneyplus.com and YouTube.com it takes up to a second for Safari to respond. When the scrolling starts it is very laggy, like if the CPU is completely bottlenecked (which it is not).

I have made a clean install of macOS 11.

What can I do?
