What do I do if the payment method I’m using failed but it’s my only card?

I keep getting a message that my payment method failed. I can’t find any evidence of the card being declined on my bank app. Apple won’t let me delete it but I can’t anyway because it’s the only way I have to pay. My only card. What do I do?
