How to rename Brother MFC "scanner"

I have identical Brother MFC 9970CDW printers. I have renamed the printers under Sys Prefs/Printer&Scanners.

When I use Image Capture, they show up in the Devices list as the default name (Brother xxxx). I am trying to rename the scanner so that I can determine which scanner to use.

Have searched and found no solution. How can I rename the scanner within Image Capture?

This is unfortunately a feature of Image Capture that it does not capture the naming of the printer. Yes, I ran into the same problem with having two Canon MX992 in the same household.
